Armenian delegate participates in OSCE PA meetings in Ukraine

Armenian Member of Parliament Sargis Khandanyan participated in the OSCE PA Bureau work in Kyiv, Ukraine on February 12-13.
Khandanyan is the head of the Armenian delegation to OSCE PA and Chairman of the Armenian parliament’s foreign relations committee.
The Bureau session focused on discussions about humanitarian problems resulting from the war in Ukraine, issues concerning the fate of the missing persons, the POWs and other detainees. The Ukrainian Human Rights Defender presented a report.
As part of the delegation led by the OSCE PA president, Khandanyan had meetings with Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, Deputy Chairman Oleksandr Korniyenko and members of the Ukrainian delegation to OSCE PA.
The delegates discussed the possible role of the parliamentary assembly in conflict resolution and peace talks.
During the visit the delegation also met with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and Deputy Foreign Minister Mariana Betsa, who presented Ukraine’s official position regarding ending the war and possible peace talks.
The OSCE PA Bureau members also visited (Moschun) Bucha to get acquainted with the consequences of the war and to pay tribute to the memory of the victims.
