Ukraine’s Speaker of Parliament expresses support for Armenia’s territorial integrity

Armenian Member of Parliament, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee of Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan in Kyiv met with the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk.
Chairperson Stefanchuk welcomed Khandanyan’s visit to Ukraine and attached importance to the development of interparliamentary relations between the two countries, particularly highlighting mutual visits of the parliamentary friendship groups, the parliament’s press service said in a readout.
“On behalf of the Armenian parliament, Khandanyan expressed support to the colleagues at Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada for their courageous activities during difficult conditions for the country and emphasized the importance of joint work in interparliamentary platforms,” the parliament’s press service said.
MP Khandanyan presented the security challenges around Armenia, the foreign policy priorities of Armenia, as well as details from the Armenia-Azerbaijan and Armenia-Turkiye negotiations.
The Armenian government’s Crossroads of Peace project was also discussed.
Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, attaching importance to strengthening regional peace and stability, expressed unconditional support for preservation of Armenia’s territorial integrity and the country’s path of democratic development.
Khandanyan is visiting Ukraine to participate in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Bureau work.
