Georgia withdraws its delegation from PACE

The Georgian authorities have recalled members from the Parliamentary Delegation to the Council of Europe. In addition, members of Georgian Dream and People's Power in the Parliamentary Delegation individually addressed the President of the Assembly with a request to terminate their mandate, Interpressnews reported.

The Bureau of the Parliament supported the issue of recalling members from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

“We expect that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will return to its original values, which are based on respect for democracy and sovereignty,” the Chairman of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili stated at the Bureau meeting.
