Russia has confirmed its readiness to contribute to the implementation of agreements reached within the trilateral process involving the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated during a weekly press conference on January 23, while commenting on the issue of the sham trial of Armenian prisoners of war in Baku, which is being conducted with gross violations of human rights.
"If we talk about the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict in general, which has continued for many years despite various attempts to resolve it, it has caused significant problems, including severe humanitarian issues between Yerevan and Baku. Within the framework of the trilateral process involving the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, agreements have been reached, including the necessity to address humanitarian problems," Zakharova said.
She touched upon the statement of October 31, 2022, which affirmed that "The parties agreed to make additional efforts aimed at resolving the remaining issues, including the humanitarian block." The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson expressed confidence that implementing the trilateral agreements would foster an atmosphere of trust and dialogue between Yerevan and Baku.
