Balchug Capital adds one of the largest pet food producers to its portfolio

Balchug Capital acquired a major pet food producer in Russia “Raduga” LLC.

Approved by the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation, the deal adds a high-quality production facility to Balchug Capital's diversified portfolio, allowing it to capitalize on the growing opportunities in the pet food market.

“Raduga” LLC has been in business since 2017 producing high quality nutritious dry pet food for cats and dogs. In 2024, the company produced and sold more than 25 thousand tons of products with revenue of more than 2.3 billion rubles. Located in the Chelyabinsk region, “Raduga” LLC’s modern production facility is designed for a capacity of about 50 thousand tons with the prospect of expansion up to 80 thousand tons.

Balchug Capital plans to support the expansion of this portfolio company to meet growing market demand. 

This deal continues Balchug Capital's strategy of investing in high-quality and liquid assets in the real sector of the economy and builds on recent successes such as the acquisition of Syktyvkar Plywood Mill LTD, a leading Russian manufacturer of wood-based panels.
