Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony begins in Washington

The inauguration ceremony of U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President James David Vance has officially begun in Washington.

Due to the expected temperature of minus 11 degrees Celsius, the swearing-in ceremony is not taking place in front of the Capitol building as originally planned. Instead, it is being  held in the Capitol Rotunda, the central hall of the building, which can accommodate approximately 1,000 people.

The inauguration ceremony is attended by the 46th President of the United States Joe Biden, the 44th President Barack Obama, the 43rd President George W. Bush and his wife Laura, the 42nd President,Bill Clinton. Trump’s main opponent Kamala Harris, other high-ranking officials, international delegations, and thousands of Americans are also in attendance.

SpaceX and Tesla founder Elon Musk, Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sanchez, former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence are also among the prominent guests.
