Foreign Ministry spokesperson clarifies details on the Armenia–U.S. Strategic Partnership Charter and Commission

In response to media questions, the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Ani Badalyan, has issued a clarification regarding the Charter and the Commission on the Armenia - United States Strategic Partnership.

"On January 14, the document on the Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Armenia and the United States of America—the Charter—was signed in Washington. Both the Armenian and American sides published the full, identical text of the original document, which was developed and finalized as a result of joint work,'' noted the spokesperson.

"The Charter defines the strategic nature of the partnership between the two countries and simultaneously launches a commission. This commission will serve as the platform through which the parties will work to realize the goals set forth in the Charter and discuss and coordinate cooperation in the sectorial areas outlined within it," Badalyan clarified.
