2 trillion 390,9 billion drams in tax revenues and duties were collected in 2024, the head of the Armenian tax authority has said.
The figure is 117 billion drams more compared to 2023.
“5,1% growth in revenue, or a growth of 117 billion drams was recorded,” Eduard Hakobyan, the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia said at a press conference.
The tax bodies recorded over 1 trillion 940 billion drams while the customs bodies recorded over 450 billion drams.
Tax collections grew 11%. Meanwhile, in terms of customs taxes pertaining to imports the authorities recorded decrease. “It is about the decrease of imports, particularly decrease in imports of cars and tobacco,” he said. The SRC estimates that the decrease is temporary.
Hakobyan said the tax collection in 2024 was in line with economic developments.
