Options from Russia, the U.S., and other countries under consideration for new nuclear power plant model - Minister

YEREVAN, JANUARY 9, ARMENPRESS. Various proposals are being discussed for the construction of a new nuclear power plant in Armenia, taking into account its economic and financial components, as well as the period required to bring it into operation.

"The names of various countries have been mentioned. We are conducting various studies, which are not yet complete," the minister said. He added that proposals for nuclear power plant models from Russian, American, and other international sources are under consideration, but no final decision has been made yet.

According to the minister, the timeline for the construction of the new nuclear power station will largely depend on the selected model.
