Armenian, Iranian security officials discuss regional processes and bilateral ties

YEREVAN, JANUARY 9, ARMENPRESS. Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Akbar Ahmadian has met with Secretary of Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan during his visit to Yerevan.

Secretary Grigoryan welcomed his Iranian counterpart’s visit to Armenia and underscored the importance of mutual high-level visits based on the need for developing the bilateral relationship encompassing various areas, Grigoryan’s office said in a readout.

Secretary Ali Akbar Ahmadian said that the bilateral relations have a strong foundation and nothing is capable of undermining or changing it.

The parties also discussed regional processes and in this context the prospects of Armenia-Iran partnership.

The two officials lauded the developing ties between Armenia and Iran and discussed the course of implementation of the previously achieved agreements and outlined new directions of cooperation. The development of economic ties and infrastructure development projects were also discussed.
