Damaged cable in the Baltic Sea repaired

YEREVAN, JANUARY 7, ARMENPRESS. The C-Lion1 underwater telecommunications cable between Finland and Germany, damaged in December, has been repaired, according to the Finnish operator Cinia Oy.

Four underwater telecommunications cables in the Baltic Sea went down on December 25 and 26. Three of them are laid between Finland and Estonia, and one cable connects Finland with Germany.

"The breakage of Cinia's C-Lion1 underwater cable has been fixed, and the direct underwater cable connection between Finland and Germany has been restored and is fully operational," the statement said.
