Government presents 2024-2040 Action Plan for Improvement of Demographic Situation

YEREVAN, JANUARY 7, ARMENPRESS. The government has published the bill on approving the 2024-2040 Action Plan of the Strategy for Improvement of Demographic Situation.

The bill aims at defining concrete actions for implementing the strategic goals.

The action plan envisages the creation of a favorable environment, contributing to the development of the family, reducing factors of the risk of death, and promoting healthy lifestyle, reducing migration, preserving and involving highly qualified human capital, ensuring dignified elderly care, etc.

The action plan is urgent given the current demographic situation in Armenia, including the decreased birth rate, increased death rate and migration issues and other issues.
