Any security guarantees for Ukraine without the United States are weak - Zelensky

YEREVAN, JANUARY 3, ARMENPRESS. Any security guarantees for Ukraine without the United States are weak guarantees, said Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, according to the TSN.ua channel.

"We have a historic opportunity because, I believe, for many years brave people fought for independence and didn’t quite achieve it. We didn’t have independence. Today we can do this… In short, a just peace for us is the understanding that we (will be – ed.) in the EU and when, understanding that we have powerful, strong security guarantees. NATO is the best option for us. We will fight for this. If not? I wouldn't want to give a pass on an alternative right now… Certainly, any security guarantees without the United States, I believe, are weak security guarantees for Ukraine," he emphasized.
