Meeting between Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan and relatives of missing servicemen underway

 YEREVAN, DECEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. The meeting between Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan and the relatives of the missing servicemen is underway at the National Assembly, Parliament Speaker's press secretary, Movses Harutyunyan said, providing no further details.

On December 27, the parents of missing servicemen blocked Baghramyan Avenue, demanding a meeting with  National Assembly deputy and Chairman of the investigative commission examining the circumstances of the 44-day war Andranik Kocharyan. They stated that they had been trying to meet with Kocharyan for a long time but had not received a positive response.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs commented on the situation on Baghramyan Avenue, noting that law enforcement officers had repeatedly urged the participants of the protest to reopen the road, but it remains closed.
