World Military Wrestling Championships: Armenia wins 10th medal

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 21, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Samvel Grigoryan won bronze at the 37th CISM World Military Wrestling Championships in Yerevan by defeating 9:1 Kazakhstan’s Almir Tolebayev in the 82kg Greco-Roman match, bringing the country’s medal count to 10.

Grigoryan’s victory brought Armenia’s bronze count to 4, with Shant Khachatryan (72kg), Ashot Khachatryan (77kg) and Hrachya Poghosyan (63kg) having won earlier.

So far Armenia has 3 gold medals - Gaspar Terteryan (67kg), Suren Aghajanyan (60kg) and Andranik Avetisyan (65kg). 

Tigran Minasyan (55kg) and Sargis Begoyan (61kg) won silver. In the women’s division, Elen Babajanyan won silver.
