Armenia’s position regarding freezing CSTO participation remains unchanged, says foreign ministry

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 14, ARMENPRESS. There’s been no change in Armenia’s position regarding freezing participation in the work of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the foreign ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan told Armenpress, touching upon an ambassadorial meeting of the bloc’s member states hosted by Russian FM Sergey Lavrov.

“Armenia’s position regarding freezing its participation in the CSTO work hasn’t changed,” Badalyan said.

The Armenian Ambassador to Russia, Gurgen Arsenyan, also participated in the meeting hosted by Lavrov and attended by ambassadors of CSTO member states in Russia.

Armenia froze its participation in the CSTO for the bloc’s failure to fulfill its obligations.
