YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 12, ARMENPRESS. Beijing hopes that the Armenian-Chinese relations reach new achievements and is ready to support the development of bilateral ties and Armenia’s development, China's Chargé d'Affaires (a.i.) in Armenia, Chen Ming, said on Tuesday.

“We hope the Armenian-Chinese relations have new achievements,” he told reporters during the China’s Modernization: Armenia-China Relationship international seminar at the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. “I have to note that the Armenian-Chinese relations are developing very well. I’ve had many occasions to speak about the developments and further trends of the Armenian-Chinese relationship.”

He recalled Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Chinese President Xi Jinping’s brief conversation on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Russia.

“We have to note that this was the first meeting since 2019. During that meeting the two sides talked about the development of bilateral relations. Of course, we are ready to support the Armenian-Chinese relations and Armenia’s general development,” the Chinese diplomat said, expressing hope that the discussions during the seminar will be productive in terms of development of the Armenia-China ties.
