Iran opposes any geopolitical change and extraterritoriality, says envoy

KAPAN, NOVEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. Iran supports the unblocking of connections based on Armenia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, the Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani has said.

Sobhani was commenting on the Azeri narrative of so-called Zangezur Corridor. “We don’t want to use that word,” Sobhani told reporters in the Armenian town of Kapan. “We support the opening of connections in case it happens based on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia. Besides, we oppose anything that has a logic of a [extraterritorial] corridor. We oppose any geopolitical change,” Sobhani said.
