YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 8, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian town of Kapan in Syunik province is hosting an expert seminar titled Armenia-Iran: Cooperation and New Prospects.

The main goal of the event is to present to the Iranian opinion makers the Armenian official stance regarding the development of the Armenia-Iran relations, Gor Tsarukyan, the Director of the Public Relations and Information Center of the Prime Minister’s Office told Armenpress.

For this purpose, we are trying to maximally transparently present the Armenian interests in the unblocking process and how close they are with Iranian interests. We have also maximally transparently presented, including at meetings with high-ranking officials, the essence of the Armenia-West cooperation, the ongoing processes, it has been emphasized and stressed that these cannot be used against third countries, particularly against Iran,” Tsarukyan said. He highlighted the selection of Kapan as the venue, in order for the Iranian delegates to see the significance of the development of Syunik Province and its importance in the strengthening of the Armenia-Iran relations.
“It’s no coincidence that they arrived to Kapan by plane, so that they can see its importance, and then see the course of the construction of North-South road, which will connect Armenia with Iran,” Tsarukyan added.
