YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS. In January-September 2024, Armenia's foreign trade turnover increased by 73.5 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 23 billion 717.9 million dollars, according to data from the Statistical Committee.
In September, trade turnover decreased by 13 percent compared to August, totaling 1 billion 937.9 million dollars. However, compared to September of the previous year, a 22.4 percent increase was recorded.
In the first nine months of 2024, exports increased by 2.1 times compared to the same period last year, totaling 10 billion 595.4 million dollars. In September, export volumes decreased by 13.1 percent compared to August, amounting to 857.1 million dollars. However, compared to September of the previous year, exports grew by 38.9 percent.
Imports increased by 54.2 percent in January-September, reaching 13 billion 122.5 million dollars. In September, compared to August, import volumes decreased by 12.9 percent, totaling 1 billion 80.8 million dollars. Compared to September of the previous year, imports increased by 11.9 percent.
