YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has expressed confidence that under the presidency of Donald Trump, Armenia-U.S. relations will be further strengthened and will continue to reach new achievements.
"I am confident that your extensive experience, knowledge, and abilities will serve effectively in promoting the well-being of the American people, advancing U.S. interests, and strengthening the country's role in the world.
In recent years, the relations between the Republic of Armenia and the United States, grounded in historical friendship, shared values, and mutual interests, have made unprecedented progress. Of course, the Armenian-American community has also played a role in this progress.
I highly appreciate the effective cooperation between our countries in establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus based on the core principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity, strengthening democratic institutions in Armenia, protecting human rights, ensuring the rule of law, combating corruption, and addressing security threats.
The development of cooperation in trade, economic, and investment sectors, as well as the full utilization of our considerable existing potential, holds a special place in our multi-layered agenda. In this regard, I am pleased to note our joint efforts aimed at enhancing Armenia's economic and energy resilience. I am confident that during your presidency, Armenia-U.S. relations will be further strengthened, and we will continue to achieve new achievements , bringing us closer to realizing our vision of a strategic partnership, " reads Armenian PM’s letter addressed to Donald Trump on his victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election.
Pashinyan expressed hope that new opportunities would arise in relations between the Republic of Armenia and the United States, especially with the establishment of lasting and stable peace in the South Caucasus and the unblocking of regional economic and communication channels. He noted that the Armenian government's proposals in that regard are outlined in its "Crossroads of Peace" project.
