Armenian weightlifter Emma Poghosyan wins gold at European U20 Championships

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 31, ARMENPRESS. Armenian weightlifter Emma Poghosyan has won gold in the U20 competition in the 81 kg women's  division in the U20 and U23 European weightlifting championships in Poland. The Armenian team was represented by Emma Poghosyan and Alina Sukiasyan. Sukiasyan lifted 93 kg in the snatch and 109 kg in the clean and jerk, finishing in 6th place with a total result of 202 kg.

Emma Poghosyan successfully lifted 95 kg, 98 kg, and 100 kg in the clean and jerk, achieving three successful attempts and earning a small gold medal. In the snatch event, she lifted 118 kg in a single attempt, securing the gold medal for that lift. With a total of 218 kg, she won the gold medal at the European Under-20 Championships.
