YEREVAN, OCTOBER 31, ARMENPRESS. Dynamic dialogue is taking place between Armenia and Turkey, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirozyan has said.

“We have dynamic dialogue with Turkey, positive dialogue. Let me remind that the ministries of both countries worked around assessing the condition of the infrastructures on the border. Now this work is done and will be done in the direction of assessing the condition of the Kars-Gyumri railway. Our dialogue is first of all about the issues that the two countries must establish diplomatic relations, open the borders, have transportation and other connections and overall normalize their relations,” Mirzoyan told lawmakers in parliament at a committee hearing on the 2025 state budget.

He said it is no secret that Ankara, to some extent, conditions its relations with Armenia with the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization.

“In our assessment this is not a very constructive approach, and we have our dialogue with Turkey without preconditions, we have concrete agreements, to open the border for citizens of third countries and diplomatic passport holders in the beginning. There are joint projects of smaller scale, for example pertaining to the cultural heritage of Ani. I’d like to say that there is dynamic dialogue here too. I’d like to again express optimism that we will have progress in the near future,” Mirzoyan said.
