YEREVAN, OCTOBER 31, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian foreign ministry has made significant efforts this year in the direction of concluding the text of the peace treaty with Azerbaijan, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan told lawmakers.

Mirzoyan reminded that Armenia’s latest offer was to swiftly sign the peace agreement including the articles that have been agreed-upon so far.

“We’ve offered to leave outside all proposals of both the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides around which there’s no mutual consent, and to sign what’s been agreed upon so far. Judging by the public reactions, and also during contacts, this offer wasn’t accepted with much enthusiasm. Now we have an understanding that there are one-two wordings around which we will continue the work. This is normal negotiations process. I have to express cautious optimism that soon we will succeed in achieving an agreement around those few wordings and then the treaty will be ready for signing,” Mirzoyan said.
