UN Secretary General arrives in Russia for BRICS summit

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 23, ARMENPRESS. UN Secretary-General António Guterres has arrived in Russia’s Kazan to participate in the BRICS summit, the UN press service has announced. 

The 16th BRICS Summit is held in Kazan on October 22-24. The BRICS group was founded in 2006 by Brazil, Russia, India, and China, with South Africa joining it in 2011. On January 1, 2024, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, became its full-fledged members.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will also participate in the summit.
