Singapore parliament speaker supports peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 21, ARMENPRESS. Deputy Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Hakob Arshakyan has met with the Speaker of Parliament of Singapore Seah Kian Peng in Laos.

Seah Kian Peng noted the high-level relationship between Armenia and Singapore and lauded the 2019 mutual visits of the prime ministers of both countries.

The Singapore parliament speaker gladly welcomed Armenia’s observer status in the ASEAN IPA and the active cooperation within the framework of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

Arshakyan presented the Armenian government’s Crossroads of Peace project and the peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Seah Kian Peng expressed support to the peace process and attached importance to the establishment of comprehensive peace and stability, ruling out manifestations of the use of force or the threat of force. 

Both sides expressed readiness to contribute to the development of bilateral ties.
