Armenian, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers set for bilateral meeting in Istanbul

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 18, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov are set to hold a bilateral meeting in Istanbul on October 18, Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan told Armenpress.

"As on various other platforms, Armenia and Azerbaijan have reached a bilateral agreement to hold a meeting between the foreign ministers in Istanbul," said Badalyan, confirming that the meeting wll take place on October 18.

On the same day, the third meeting of the "3+3" regional cooperation platform took place in Istanbul. Following the meeting, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced that Russia, Türkiye, and Iran proposed using the 3+3 platform for Armenia and Azerbaijan to finalize work on a peace treaty.
