Parliament committee approves ratification of $100 million loan agreement with Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 11, ARMENPRESS. The parliament’s committee on fiscal and budgetary affairs has approved the bill on ratifying a loan agreement between Armenia and the Eurasian Development Bank.

Under the agreement the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Developmen will provide $100 million in a budgetary support loan.

Deputy Minister of Finance Eduard Hakobyan said the project is aimed at increasing the potential of the economy.

The target of the program is the export component.

The second project is about attracting investments. Producers of economically sophisticated goods will receive state support under the program.

The bill will be debated at the upcoming plenary session.
