Armenian, Georgian militaries discuss cooperation prospects

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 4, ARMENPRESS. The Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Major general Artur Yeroyan met with the Chief of Georgian Defense Forces Major general Giorgi Matiashvili during a visit to Georgia.

During the meeting the military officials attached importance to the continual development and expansion of cooperation in the defense sector, the defense ministry said in a readout.

The Armenian major general also met with Chief of the General Staff of the Georgian Defense Forces Major general Joni Tatunashvili. The prospects of cooperation between the Armenian and Georgian militaries were discussed. 

As part of the visit to Georgia, Major general Yeroyan’s delegation also visited the National Defense Academy of the Georgian Defense Forces, the joint training and evaluation centers of the military exercises and military education command, as well as the Sergeant Academy, where they got acquainted with the programs and activities.
