Armenia hosts EEU prime ministerial meeting

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 1, ARMENPRESS. Heads of government of Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member states have gathered in Yerevan for the organization’s Intergovernmental Council session and the plenary session of the Eurasian Economic Forum. 

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Oljas Bektenov, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov are taking part in the meeting. 

The EEU prime ministers will discuss the integration agenda, the internal market activities and enhancement of external ties. The 2030 industrial cooperation project and import replacement project will be in focus. The 2024-2026 transportation policy plan will be adopted. The sides will also discuss the financing of the Eurasian Economic Commission and the EEU court. 

Armenia holds the presidency in the EEU in 2024. 

Cuba, Iran and Uzbekistan take part in the session as observers.
