YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has met with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi during the UN General Assembly in New York City.
The FMs commended the high-level friendly relationship between the two neighboring countries and discussed possibilities for maximally utilizing the cooperation potential in directions of mutual interest, according to a readout issued by the Armenian foreign ministry.
In the context of establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus the Armenian Foreign Minister presented the latest discussions towards signing a peace treaty with Azerbaijan.
Minister Mirzoyan underscored Armenia’s strong political will to achieve lasting peace in the region and in this context highlighted Iran’s stance, expressed on the highest level, regarding unconditional respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty.
