UNGA79: Armenian Prime Minister, Romanian President discuss security issues

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 26, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Romanian President Klaus Iohannis have met within the framework of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

The Armenian PM and the Romanian President emphasized the importance of further development of Armenia-Romania relations, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a readout.

The Armenia-European Union cooperation was discussed. The President of Romania expressed his country's support in expanding and strengthening ties between Armenia and the EU.

PM Nikol Pashinyan and President Klaus Iohannis exchanged ideas on security issues.

In this context, the Prime Minister presented the latest developments in the direction of concluding a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, as well as the "Crossroads of Peace" project of the Armenian Government aimed at unblocking regional connections.
