Armenia economic activity index grows 9%

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 25, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s economic activity index grew 9% in January-August 2024 compared to the same period of last year, according to the Statistical Committee data. 

Below is the YoY data for January-August 2024. 

The industrial production output grew 13,7%. 

Construction grew 16,2%.

Trade turnover grew 20,4%. 

Services grew 5,2%.

The consumer price index decreased 0,1%, while the industrial product price index grew 2,9%. Electricity production grew 0,6%.

Foreign trade grew 70,9% (exports grew twice, while imports grew 86,8%.)
