YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 17, ARMENPRESS. Political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Austria took place in Vienna on September 17.
According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the consultations were led by Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, Paruyr Hovhannisyan, on the Armenian side, and Gregor Kösler, the Political Director of the Austrian Foreign Ministry and Director General of Bilateral Affairs and the EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy, on the Austrian side.
During the consultations, the parties discussed a wide range of issues on the Armenian-Austrian bilateral agenda, emphasizing the importance of strengthening high-level political dialogue and deepening inter-parliamentary cooperation.
The parties also discussed enhancing bilateral trade and economic relations, as well as prospects for further cooperation in education, culture, science, and other fields.
A number of issues related to the comprehensive and ambitious agenda of the Armenia-EU partnership were addressed. The Deputy Minister presented Armenia's vision for achieving sustainable peace in the South Caucasus, including the "Crossroads of Peace" project developed by the Armenian government.
Additionally, the latest developments in the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, including border delimitation and the signing of a peace treaty, were discussed.
