National Assembly Speaker proposes holding Inter-Parliamentary Union Conference in Armenia

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 12, ARMENPRESS. On September 12, the Armenian National Assembly President Alen SImonyan met with the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Tulia Ackson and the Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Martin Chungong.

According to the Parliament’s press service, the National Assembly President thanked them for giving an opportunity to hold the 10th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Armenia and proposed them to observe the opportunity of holding the Conference of the Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union also in Armenia in future.

In her turn Tulia Ackson expressed her deepest gratitude to Alen Simonyan for organizing the Conference at high level and for warm reception.

The interlocutors touched upon other issues of bilateral interest and cooperation, including the theme of Armenian captives held in Azerbaijan.
