Chinese Premier visits Russia

YEREVAN, AUGUST 20, ARMENPRESS. Chinese Premier Li Qiang arrived in Moscow on Tuesday to chair the 29th meeting between Chinese and Russian heads of government.

During his stay, Li will meet with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to exchange in-depth views on bilateral relations, practical cooperation and key issues of common interest, Xinhua news agency reported.

The regular meeting between Chinese and Russian heads of government, held every year since its inception in 1996, is an important mechanism for implementing the consensus reached by the two heads of state and promoting bilateral cooperation and people-to-people exchanges.

TASS news agency reported that President Vladimir Putin will also hold a meeting with Li Qiang.

The Chinese PM is expected to visit Belarus after the trip.
