Nikol Pashinyan meets with the newly elected Prime Minister of the Netherlands

YEREVAN, JULY 18, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with the newly elected Prime Minister of the Netherlands Hendrikus Wilhelmus Maria Schoof at the 4th Summit of the European Political Community at Blenheim Palace.  

According to the readout issued by the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan once again congratulated Mr. Schoof on the occasion of assuming the post and expressed hope that bilateral cooperation will give a new impetus to the development of multi-sectoral relations between Armenia and the Netherlands.

Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that especially in recent years the relations between Armenia and the Netherlands have entered a period of high-level political dialogue.

Mr. Schoof noted that the Netherlands attaches importance to the deepening of cooperation with Armenia and is ready to invest all efforts to deepen relations in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres.

The interlocutors also exchanged ideas on Armenia-European Union cooperation. The parties emphasized the decision to start negotiations on visa liberalization with Armenia after long negotiations.

Reference was also made to the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process, the humanitarian problems of people forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh. The Prime Minister emphasized the consistent support of the international community for their solution
