Armen Grigoryan received Uzra Zeya

YEREVAN, JULY 16, ARMENPRESS. Today, Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia Armen Grigoryan met with the U.S. Under Secretary of State for Civil Security, Democracy and Human Rights Uzra Zeya.

Armen Grigoryan, speaking about the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania, expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to the victims. He noted that any manifestation of violence is unacceptable.

The interlocutors discussed the process of democratic reforms being implemented in Armenia, emphasizing the successes already achieved in the field of police, justice and the fight against corruption. In the context of the above and a number of other areas, they discussed bilateral cooperation between Armenia and the United States, within the framework of which Armenian Secretary of the Security Council emphasized US support for the development of democratic institutions in Armenia.
