Armenian Deputy PMs hold meeting with USAID Assistant Administrator Erin McKee

YEREVAN, JULY 12, ARMENPRESS. Deputy Prime Ministers of the Republic of Armenia, Mher Grigoryan and Tigran Khachatryan received a delegation headed by the Assistant Administrator in the Bureau for Europe and Eurasia at USAID Erin  McKee.

At the outset of the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan presented the implementation process of the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative, touching upon its political, transportation, energy, and other components. The development of the feasibility study for the Crossroads of Peace initiative, supported by USAID, was highlighted.

 The parties also exchanged views on the opportunities for capital market development and trade promotion.

Addressing the Armenian government's efforts to provide stable and dignified living conditions for people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, Deputy PM Tigran Khachatryan presented the work being carried out to ensure housing security and employment for them. In this process, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized cooperation with USAID.

The parties also exchanged views on the established cooperation in the spheres of public administration reforms, digital transformation, strategic communication and disaster risk management. The importance of capacity building and strengthening the resilience of institutions was emphasized.
