For the first time flights to be operated from Yerevan to China’s Urumqi city

YEREVAN, JULY 10, ARMENPRESS. For the first time direct flights will be operated from Yerevan to China’s Urumqi city starting September, according to a statement by “Armenia” International Airports” CJSC.

“From 3 September 2024 China Southern Airlines will start operating flights on the route Urumqi - Yerevan- Urumqi for the first time. Flights will be operated twice a week: every Tuesday and Saturday,” the statement reads.

Ambassador of China to Armenia Fan Yong also shared details about the flight.

"The flight will be carried out every Tuesday and Saturday. It will be operated by B737-800 aircraft with over 300 seats available. Flight CZ5091 will depart from Urumqi at 16:00 Beijing time and arrive in Yerevan at 17:35 local time. The return flight, CZ5092, will depart from Yerevan at 21:50 local time and land in Urumqi at 07:00 Beijing time, with a flight duration of just 5 hours. Armenian passengers can travel from Urumqi to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and 41 other cities across China on the same day," the Ambassador wrote on his Facebook page.
