President Khachaturyan visits the residence of the US Ambassador to Armenia on the occasion of the US Independence Day

YEREVAN, JULY 1, ARMENPRESS. President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan on July 1 visited the residence of Kristina Kvien, the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia, ahead of the Independence Day of the United States of America.

President Khachaturyan congratulated and conveyed his best wishes to President Biden, Ambassador Kvien,  the staff of the Embassy and to the friendly people of the United States.

The President noted that Armenia highly appreciates the support that the United States has shown for the development of Armenia's economy. The President of the Republic attached particular importance to the assistance provided by the USA to the process of democratic reforms in Armenia, and welcomed the decision made a few days ago regarding the establishment of the Armenia-USA strategic partnership.

"I think the United States of America will continue the responsible mission, which is to protect democracy and spread democratic values," the President noted.

According to the source, the US Ambassador to Armenia thanked for the visit and congratulations.

 "In recent years, a huge progress has been made in bilateral relations between Armenia and the USA. You have contributed and been actively involved in it, including your very important recent visit to California and the US West Coast. I would like to thank you, the Government of Armenia and the people of Armenia for deepening our relations," said Ambassador Kvien, expressing hope that there will be an opportunity to talk about greater progress next year.

The interlocutors exchanged thoughts on the current agenda of Armenian-American relations and the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation.
