Armenia's Deputy  Foreign Minister, Hungarian Secretary of State Tristan Azbej discuss bilateral relations

YEREVAN, JULY 1, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan on Monday met with the State Secretary of Hungary's “Help and Hungarian Support Program for Persecuted Christians” Tristan Azbey, the foreign ministry said.

During the meeting the parties welcomed the significant progress recorded after restoring the diplomatic relations between the two countries, noting the importance of implementing the agreements signed as a result of high-level mutual meetings.

According to the source, the interlocutors addressed a wide range of issues regarding the development of bilateral relations, emphasizing the need to enhance connections in trade, economy, culture, education, tourism, and other spheres. 

They also discussed the Armenia-EU partnership, noting that Hungary assumed the presidency of the EU on July 1.

It is noted that the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia briefed the interlocutor on the latest developments in the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, including the efforts made by the Republic of Armenia in the direction of concluding a peace treaty, as well as the "Crossroads of Peace" project developed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
