Armenian Parliament Speaker receives Secretary General of Black Sea Economic Cooperation

YEREVAN, JULY 1, ARMENPRESS. On July 1, the Armenian National Assembly President Alen Simonyan received the Secretary General of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) Lazar Comanescu.

According to the readout issued by the Parliament, welcoming the interlocutor, Alen Simonyan underscored the importance of the meeting and noted that Armenia pays great attention to the regional cooperation and integration processes.

In his turn Lazar Comanescu thanked the NA President for the reception and congratulated Armenia on assuming the Chairmanship-in-Office of the Organization. He expressed hope that during the tenure of the Chairmanship-in-Office of Armenia it will be succeeded to reach the implementation of the goals set before the organization.

Simonyan also presented to Lazar Comanescu the Crossroads of Peace project initiated by the Government of Armenia and the new opportunities being given for the countries of the region by its implementation.

The interlocutors also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
