U.S. sees possibility of establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan - Assistant Secretary of State

YEREVAN, JUNE 28, ARMENPRESS. The United States sees the peace opportunity between Armenia and Azerbaijan, James O'Brien, US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs said.
He noted that this process will also benefit the region as a whole.
"We believe that cooperation between Armenia and Azerbaijan will improve cooperation in the field of security with the neighbors, as well as create conditions for cargoes to be transported to global markets through Central Asia, Azerbaijan, and then through Georgia and Armenia.
This will be good for every country and will create great economic opportunities in the main transit countries - Azerbaijan and Armenia. We are discussing the importance of working on it, and both sides say they are very interested in making it happen,’’ Azerbaijani media quoted James O'Brien as saying.
