Several highways closed across Armenia

YEREVAN, JUNE 5, ARMENPRESS. There are closed highways in the territory of the Republic of Armenia, reported by the Rescue Service, detailing that a partial collapse occurred in the pedestrian section of the bridge near the village of Getapnya in Ararat region, as a result of which the traffic on the bridge was stopped.

According to the Road Department, the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Ayrum-Bagratashen highway is accessible only to passenger cars.

Drivers are advised to bypass the M-6 on the way to the border of Georgia with the M-3 Margara-Vanadzor-Tashir-Armenian border and M-1 Yerevan-Gyumri- Armenian border interstate highways.

The section of the M-4 Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan-Armenian border from Dilijan to Ijevan is passable. But in some places the traffic is one-way.

The bridge leading to the villages of Khashtarak and Lusahovit is closed on both sides.

According to information received from the Emergency Management Agencyof the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of North Ossetia of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open to all types of vehicles.
