Government to cover 1st year tuition fees for displaced students from Nagorno-Karabakh

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 28, ARMENPRESS. Currently, 16,900 students displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh are enrolled in schools across the Republic of Armenia. RA Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan mentioned this during an interview with Public TV.

“Approximately 3,800 students are currently enrolled in higher education and secondary vocational institutions, with their tuition expenses covered by the [RA] Government. For this year, we will cover the expenses without considering their progress, but starting from next year, academic performance will also be taken into account,” stated the Deputy Prime Minister, addressing the matter of displaced students from Nagorno-Karabakh.
