Armenian serviceman wounded in Azeri cross-border shooting

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS. An Armenian serviceman has been wounded in a cross-border shooting by Azerbaijan near the border village of Paruyr Sevak, Ararat Province.

The shooting took place around 09:50, November 18, the Armenian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

The Armenian serviceman, identified only by his initials E.H., was on-duty when the shot was fired from Azeri outposts near Paruyr Sevak.

“The health condition of the serviceman is assessed as moderate, with no danger to life at present.

An investigation is underway to clarify all the circumstances of the incident,” the ministry said.
