France strengthened defense relations with Armenia, says foreign minister Catherine Colonna

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. France has strengthened its defense relations with Armenia and plans to open a consulate in Syunik province, French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna has said.

“The Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs allocated five million euros for Armenia and the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh, and I decided to increase that assistance to seven million. We’ve also strengthened our defense relations with Armenia and we will open a consulate in Syunik,” Colonna said in the French national assembly in response to a question from MP Emmanuelle Anthoine.
