Armenia, EU discuss possible cooperation directions as part of Common Security and Defense Policy, Nagorno-Karabakh

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 26, ARMENPRESS. Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan on September 26 met with CharlesFries, theDeputy Secretary Generalfor CommonSecurityandDefense Policy and Crisis Response of theEuropean External Action Service.
Grigoryan and Fries discussed the humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and the refugee issue. Views were exchanged around the regional and extra-regional security situation.
Grigoryan’s office said in a readout that the parties attached importance to the EU civilian monitoring mission’s (EUMA) presence and activities in Armenia, also as an important achievement during the development of the Armenia-EU relations.
Grigoryan and Fries also discussed possible cooperation directions within the framework of CommonSecurityandDefense Policy.
