YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 22, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s wrestling star Artur Aleksanyan entered the final of the Men's Greco-Roman 97 kg division at the 2023 World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade, Serbia after defeating 9:0 Lithuania’s Mindaugas Venckaitis and took a quota for the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Aleksanyan will compete for his fifth World Championships gold on September 23.
The Armenian wrestling star, 31, won gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, silver at Tokyo 2020 and bronze at London 2012. He has won multiple European and World championships.
